62 points in 3 quarters of play against the Dallas Mavericks back just two seasons ago. Dallas caught Kobe in one of those moments where nothing could stop him. This was a Dallas Maverick team that went on to the NBA finals that year, and was a pretty good defensive team. They just could not find a way to stop Kobe that night. By the end of the 3rd Quarter, Kobe had 62 points and the entire Mavericks team had 61! How about that. I wonder how many he would have had if the game was close and Phil would have kept Kobe in the game for the 4th. He was on fire that night. Check out the video:
