Kobe Bryant…Deal or no deal?

No, the Lakers aren’t thinking about trading its superstar. But Bryant will be helping Davon Clark, a barber from Dayton, Ohio, compete next Monday on the widely popular television game show, “Deal or No Deal.”

Hosted by Howie Mandel, this special episode of “Deal or No Deal” will feature a $2-million dollar case, which is double the typical grand prize of $1 million. Will the lucky number be “24″ or perhaps “8″?

The show asks contestants to choose from 26 sealed briefcases containing a marker for various amounts of cash from one penny to $2 million. The player then eliminates the remaining 25 cases one by one. The chosen ones are opened and the amount of money inside revealed. After several cases are opened, the player is tempted to accept an offer of cash in exchange for not continuing the game and possibly winning a larger sum of money.
