Obviously Pau Gasol took Kobe Bryant’s advice.
A night earlier, Bryant said one of Gasol’s problems was that he feels uncomfortable just catching and shooting the ball.
“It’s an adjustment to make, and that’s what we need him to do. If he’s got the ball and a guy’s hands are down, just shoot it right in his face.”
After a dismal performance against the Hornets, Gasol rebounded with a 33-point performance on 12-of-21 shooting against Golden State.
Perhaps Andrew Bynum was listening to Bryant as well because the Lakers center also bounced back from a near-embarrassing seven-point, eight-rebound game against New Orleans to score 18 points and pull down 11 rebounds.
Maybe this Twin Towers thing could work after all.
