In my opinion, without a doubt, I believe Lebron is a greater player. Lebron could take the ball to the hoop so easily and comforably because his strength is unpredictablely sick. LeBron has amazing speed and effective handles that could take over games not only offensively but also defensively. Lebron is overal way stronger and versatile compared to Bryant. However, Kobe has the rings which override Lebrons unpredictable skills.

Frankly the NBA needs marketing, Lebron James is the King…. well the King of NBA marketing. Kobe Bryant statistically and skill wise is on another level than Lebron. Lebron will never be better than Jordan…. Kobe is already better than Jordan…. In the nba you see players who start allstar careers playing above the rim flying across the court nonstop and that’s their bread and butter. Then when they age a little you see their jumpshooting, post-up, and perimeter game showup alot more such as Michael with the mastered fadeaway. But, with Kobe he can still play above the rim, take you off the dribble, kill you in the post, drain perimeter shots, and nail it from the 3-point line in a smooth calculated way. HE IS THE MAN!!!!

Kobe is def. the greatest player in the game today. But some of yall are going overboard putting him ahead of MJ. Lets make the comparisons….Kobe has 4 championships….MJ has 6. This is Kobe’s first mvp of a championship series. MJ has all 6 mvp’s. Kobe is a one time mvp of the league…MJ has 5. Kobe has 1 NBA scoring title of the season. MJ had 10. Kobe lost in the finals last year to the Celtics and in 2004 against the Pistons. MJ NEVER lost in the finals! I’m not taking any credit away from Kobe though. He’s one heck of a player, but he’s clearly not on the same level as MJ yet. Even Jon Barry, Magic, Mike Wilbon said so after the championship game….and you can’t say that Jordan had a better supporting cast because so did Kobe. Gasol averaged almost 20 in that championship series. Odom averaged AT LEAST 15…just like Pippen would have done. Ariza killed and hit big shots the ENTIRE playoffs – could compare to Kukoc. Fisher hit big shots…just like Steve Kerr did. So both had pretty good supporting cast. I actually think Kobe’s supporting cast is better than what Jordan’s was. If you could bring back the bulls team from back then, I think the Lakers might get em because of one player in Lamar Odom. You can’t win a championship without a good supporting cast though unless you have more than one superstar on the team. I’d say Kobe’s #2 in the history books as far as all around accomplishments. It’s not all about championships though. I just dont think Wilt had as much competition back then as Kobe does now.

So against all odds, Kobe has been compared to MJ, LeBron, Wade, but none ever compared to him and yet he brings it every single night. Kobe Bryant is the best in the world. There is no doubt about it. I said it before this season started and some friends were telling me Lebron would play better than him. LOL This guy keeps getting better every year, his attention to detail is unparalel and his work ethic is amazing. Take away his skills and his heart alone could get him a MVP. He should of got it this year!!!
i can say that this man is superb..his early days in nba,he’s the king and up to this time he can still win championships despite of injuries and missed games,he’s still the best and the MVP..leadership is not all about winning and the ability to dictate, its also about creating the environment that can influence his team mates to be determined..he’s still doing a great job in entertaining people..we wish that he will not retire early..:)

He’s absolutely the best palyer on the planet right now and with a ring this year will probably deserve to be called the best player ever, if not he is at least at the same level with Jordan. He’s the real “Killer Instinct”.
No doubt they are both phenomenal players and will go down in history as such but even lebrons great achievements cant take away from the man that kobe is. Just because someone comes into the league and has a couple good years doesnt mean hes on the same level as the black mamba. People try to argue that Lebron’s team just isnt good enough for him but if youre a real player like kobe you MAKE your whole team better through your leadership and overall god-like performance. While alot of this argument is left to opinion, the truth is Kobe has beat Lebron in head to head competition more than Lebron has been able to beat Kobe. Some of those victories even coming while Kobe was playing through injuries. In the end, he is tougher, a better leader, and a harder worker than Lebron has ever demonstrated in the past and it comes out in the way he plays and the way he succeeds.

I watch MJ from his rookie year and thru his return to the NBA, no doubt MJ was the greatest basketball player of his time and even throughout the past years after his retirement, but Kobe came into the league at a very difficult time. No one wanted to hear that someone would dare challange the greatness of MJ. Kobe is the most hated aathlete for all of the wrong reasons. As a society we hate to see change although we are always looking for it, but it takes us out of our comfort zone. Basketball and athletics is all really a product of our society. We are comfortable with what we have and if anyone white,black or in between challenges the norm we become bitter, hateful even cruel. Kobe is our scapegoat for how we really are as people, the things we don’t understande we hate, because we hate change. We don’t know why but change makes us feel uncomfortable. It’s a shame, because greatness happens rarely. You will go through this life only have felt one or two things that you believe are impact things whether they be political spiritual or physical, athletics is part of our society, people who play are actually human, accept it. MJ was in a time and space, Kobe is also in time and space. We will never see anyone with his passion and dedication for the game of bas-stball in this space and time. No matter how you disect it, Kobe will always be in rare air, just like MJ,Magic,Oscar,Jabbar,Wilt,West and all the great ones. Let greatness have his day in the sun. He is great, probably the greatness that has ever played the game of basketball.

Kobe is the best player in the NBA today and number 1 in my opinion all time. Why u may say, because he has more passion, focus and spirit than anyone else. He has learned from all the old grates, MJ, Magic, West, Wilt, Stockton, Malone, everyone. I still think he is better than MJ, Kobe would never leave to go play baseball. I believe Kobe will retire with 7 ring. He has also done a magnificent job at growing and maturing into a leader from that young stud who won the 1996 Jam contest at age 17. Really there is NO question that Kobe is the best in the planet and better yet 2nd best player EVER. Michael is the best but after this year you can honestly say Kobe is right up there. Everyone has bought into this corporate hype of Lebron, don’t get me wrong Lebron is one of the most talented athletes to ever play in the NBA but you don’t become the best on athleticism alone. Just ask Larry Bird, Magic, Jerry West, Tim Duncan and Michael as he got older. You need work ethic, drive, and unflappable confidence. The greats have that and NOBODY in the NBA has that like KOBE. Kobe has a lot of character flaws. He’s arrogant, horrible at interviews and sometimes hard to like, but don’t let that distort from his basketball. Lastly, I used to hate Kobe, being a Blazers fan, until I was browsing YouTube and started watching his highlights and my jaw dropped. He has done things that I believe will never be done again. yo greg i used to think like u. but i did alot of research and found out kobe is an amazing human being and an amazing basketball player who wins and gets everything his way because he works for it. kobe has my respect but i still love my man in the heat uniform number 6. both are amazing players. kobe has already become one of the best of all time while lebron is getting into the discussion more everyday. and the heat might win this season. but good luck to kobe and the lakers. it will be a great finals if they meet.
