In my opinion, without a doubt, I believe Lebron is a greater player. Lebron could take the ball to the hoop so easily and comforably because his strength is unpredictablely sick. LeBron has amazing speed and effective handles that could take over games not only offensively but also defensively. Lebron is overal way stronger and versatile compared to Bryant. However, Kobe has the rings which override Lebrons unpredictable skills.

Frankly the NBA needs marketing, Lebron James is the King…. well the King of NBA marketing. Kobe Bryant statistically and skill wise is on another level than Lebron. Lebron will never be better than Jordan…. Kobe is already better than Jordan…. In the nba you see players who start allstar careers playing above the rim flying across the court nonstop and that’s their bread and butter. Then when they age a little you see their jumpshooting, post-up, and perimeter game showup alot more such as Michael with the mastered fadeaway. But, with Kobe he can still play above the rim, take you off the dribble, kill you in the post, drain perimeter shots, and nail it from the 3-point line in a smooth calculated way. HE IS THE MAN!!!!

Kobe is def. the greatest player in the game today. But some of yall are going overboard putting him ahead of MJ. Lets make the comparisons….Kobe has 4 championships….MJ has 6. This is Kobe’s first mvp of a championship series. MJ has all 6 mvp’s. Kobe is a one time mvp of the league…MJ has 5. Kobe has 1 NBA scoring title of the season. MJ had 10. Kobe lost in the finals last year to the Celtics and in 2004 against the Pistons. MJ NEVER lost in the finals! I’m not taking any credit away from Kobe though. He’s one heck of a player, but he’s clearly not on the same level as MJ yet. Even Jon Barry, Magic, Mike Wilbon said so after the championship game….and you can’t say that Jordan had a better supporting cast because so did Kobe. Gasol averaged almost 20 in that championship series. Odom averaged AT LEAST 15…just like Pippen would have done. Ariza killed and hit big shots the ENTIRE playoffs – could compare to Kukoc. Fisher hit big shots…just like Steve Kerr did. So both had pretty good supporting cast. I actually think Kobe’s supporting cast is better than what Jordan’s was. If you could bring back the bulls team from back then, I think the Lakers might get em because of one player in Lamar Odom. You can’t win a championship without a good supporting cast though unless you have more than one superstar on the team. I’d say Kobe’s #2 in the history books as far as all around accomplishments. It’s not all about championships though. I just dont think Wilt had as much competition back then as Kobe does now.

The NBA and media has not market Kobe like other NBA stars, partly due to the incident in CO, which he was not convicted by the way, but the puritans for many years did not even have Kobe as part as their marketing campaign of the NBA. When he score 81 points, it was barely a whisper, and most of those shots were contested jump shots, not dunks or layups. So against all odds, Kobe has been compared to MJ, LeBron, Wade, but none ever compared to him and yet he brings it every single night. He’s only had one losing season, even though he had the likes of Smush Parker, Kwame, etc, etc, on his team. He has single handedly outscored teams while still guarding their best players, regardless of his size, something MJ had Pippen do for him.
Some of what MJ had, the media and market help create. Even with all MJ faults with gambling and marital issues, they idolized him because he had the talent and was great. Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA by far, 81, 61, and so many 40 & 50 point games in his career more then lebron, d-wade, more then anyone. i would like to see lebron get 81 point in a game. lebron is 6-9′ft & 260lb, kobe is only 6-6′ft & 220lb, and he still does way more then lebron does or ever will do. I would like to see lebron be only 6-6ft 220lb and do as good as kobe does, if kobe was 6-9ft 260lb he would most likely score an average of 40 points a game and score over everyone also known as unstoppable! So you cannot even compare lebron to kobe because kobe is that much better.
