The 2007-2008 season is coming to a close which means players statistics overall on how they did this year are pretty much set in stone. So we wanted to just take a few minutes and review the averages for Kobe Bryant over the season. Here they are:

  • Free Throw % - .840
  • Total Rebounds - 6.4
  • Steals - 1.86
  • Blocks - .47
  • Assists - 5.4
  • Points - 28.7

These are fantastic numbers by Kobe Bryant. He is actually higher than his career average in almost every single statistic. Here are his career averages:

  • Minutes a game - 36.5
  • Field Goal % - .453
  • 3PT % - .340
  • Free Throw % - .839
  • Total Rebounds - 5.3
  • Steals - 1.53
  • Blocks - .58
  • Assists - 4.6
  • Points - 25.0

As you can see he is up in every statistic this year other than blocks per game. For somebody who has already put in the number of seasons he has, and to continue to improve year after year is remarkable! This is not something you see often in any sport. To have such a strong young career, and then to continue to have the motivation to get better and better and show it on paper. That’s Kobe Bryant my friends!
