Lakers Off To Positive Start

The Lakers Nation Blog wrote an article today and gave great insight into what possible factors have give the Lakers such a good start to the season. The writer covered many great topics including Andrew Bynum’s growth, Kwame Brown’s play in the last year of his contract, Chris Mihm and his desire to get a bigger contract, Jordan Farmar and his improvement and on and on. I left a comment to his article stating that above all these, going from Smush Parker at point guard to Derek Fisher is a huge difference. That change alone could make the Lakers 8-10 wins better than last season.

However I would say that the biggest and most important reason for the Laker’s early season success so far is KB24 himself. We all know Kobe can light it up against anyone on any night. And he is doing that this year from time to time. But it’s his defensive presence that is leading his team to victory. His teammates are feeding off of his defensive effort and intensity. And the fans are feeding off of it as well. So before the “Laker Nation” starts jumping on everybody else’s bandwagon, come to your senses first. The sole reason the Lakers are doing as well as they are right now is because of Kobe Bryant!
