NBA’s Top 10 Players 2008
Who are the top 10 players in the NBA today? Really? Let’s get all the bias opinions aside and really take a look at who the top 10 players are in the NBA. Forget Marc Stein and his power rankings (which he does for teams not players, but he’s still mostly wrong anyway) and forget all the stupid analysts like Charles Barkley.
- Kobe Bryant - Need I say more? The best player in the game period. Can shoot, pass, defend, he’s clutch, he’s a winner, he’s unstoppable, stop me someone please.
- Lebron James - Charles Barkley is right about something. The fact that Kobe Bryant is superman, but Lebron James is “tuggin on his cape”. Lebron has had a fantastic individual season this year with many more to come.
- Tracy McGrady - when he’s healthy, and when his team gives him the ball he’s as good of a player offensively than anyone in the NBA. We don’t talk about Tmac a ton these days with all the talk about all the other guys around the league, but Tracy McGrady has put together a fantastic season. Showing yet again that’s he’s right there behind Kobe and Lebron.
- Allen Iverson - It’s sad that the Denver Nuggets might not make the playoffs this year. But it won’t be because of the play of AI. He brings it every game of every season. The guy is fantastic.
- Tim Duncan - I hate to say it. But yes Timmy makes number 5. I am a certified Spurts Hater all the way. But you can’t ignore the 4 championships Tim Duncan has won in his career.
- Steve Nash - Two MVP’s says enough. Even though one of those deserved to go to Kobe Bryant. But you gotta give the little white guy his props. One of the most creative and fascinating offensive players of our time.
- Dwayne Wade - The last couple of seasons people were trying to compare Dwade to Kobe. Now we have a little better of an idea of some of Dwayne Wade’s weaknesses now that he’s without Shaq. But, he still can dominate games and can get to the basket at will.
- Dirk Nowitzki - A very deserving MVP winner from last season. Dirk seems to have solid seasons every single year. He’s a competitor, shoots the lights out, and has learned to play some descent defense.
- Kevin Garnett - Many people would place him higher. I don’t. I think he’s a fantastic player. But has some obvious limitations. But overall a great competitor and will continue to do well with Pierce and Allen at his side.
- Shaquille O’Neal - I know he’s getting old and dried up. But with 4 rings and still at an old age helping the Suns get better, you have to keep the Diesel on your top ten list. He still wins more than the other so called superstars that are not on this list.
Notice who’s at the top of this list? Yeah that’s right it’s Kobe Bryant. Is there any question? I’d like to see anyone challenge me on this subject.

Sorry, I’ll take Amare Stoudemire over ALL of them…
This list is really stupid. You could argue Kobe v. Lebron all day, but if you’re not smart enough to Put Chris Paul in the top 10 let alone #1 where he belongs, why should anyone bother reading this? Dwayne Wade? Shaq? REALLY?
Amare over all of them? What? And oh boy another Chris Paul bandwagon. That’s all we need here. How about NO to putting people on the list who have are going for the 1st playoff run. Dwayde and Shaq are Champs are they not? Where’s Chris Paul’s ring? Where’s Amare’s ring? Didn’t think so.
if you didnt notice, rings arent really what this is about. if you look closely only 4 of these players have rings. Its not always about rings. I would take all of these players over Robert Horry. wouldnt you?
dude chris paul? num 4 behind t-mac dude chris paul is better steve nash and dirk omg dont say anything u dont know
chris paul?number 4 omg he is better then nash and dirk omg dont say nothin u dont know…………..
I have to say Kobe is number one, but Garnett should be atleast #6.And Shaq is a good player, but he shouldn’t be in the top ten. Why you tim hater? He is a superstar with a great attitude and a good teamate.Wade lost it when he got injured sure he puts up 18 pts every now then, but he use to put 30 every game. AI is a great explosive player which the nuggets need him to be.
heres my top 10….1 kobe 2 lebron 3 chris paul 4 kevin garnett 5 steve nash 6 tracy mcgrady 7 dwight howard 8 dirk 9 melo 10 tim duncan
In my believe, Kobe is the overall best, no question. HeRE IS MY LIST. 1. KB24 2. LBJ 3. DIRK NOWITSKY 4. CHRIS PAUL 5. KEVIN GARNET 6. ALLEN INVERSON 7. AMARE STOUDEMIRE 8. STEVE NASH 9.DWAYNE WADE 10. TIM DUNCAN 11. TMAC 12. YAO MING 13. HOWARD 14. GASOL 15. BARON DAVIS
look you guys are crazy allen iverson should be number 2 or number 1. This man has been bringin his a game since he was a rookie lets be serious here.
This is not a bad list..if you want to talk about top ten of this year of course chris paul would be top three….however if youre talking top ten players proven year end and year out this is a solid list. I hate some of these players, but their game speak for itself!
1.LBJ 2.KB24 3.AI 4.Steve Nash 5.Chris Paul 6.KG 7.AMARE STOUDEMIRE 8.Tim Duncan 9.Howard 10.YAO MING
Yeah right man everyone of you guys are wrong lebron james will neverd win a ring like some of the other great playerr. My top ten list will be #1 D,Wade, #2 Kobe, #3 Dirk, #4 Steve, #5 Kevin, #6 Chris Paul, #7 T Mac, #8 Ai, #9 Tim duncan Last #10 Manu . Now this is a list of stars man. of champions and future champions.
DIS IS NOT TRUE U KNO THAT YAO SHOULD BE THERE AND THAT LEBRON SHOULD BE NO 1
This isnt bad at all. I agree with most of it but i would make a few changes and definitely include Chris Paul
#1 Kobe Bryant - Kobe Bryant(though i dont like him as much as others may he deserves it)
#2 Lebron James - LBJ(he may not be a clutch player and has no shots, he is still in the beginning of his career, he’ll get better)
#3 Tracy McGrady - T-mac(he was good, he is good, and will be until he retires what more can i say)
#4 Allen Iverson-Chris Paul( as much as AI is good he is the old days put him back in the day with jordan and he’s pretty good but now its the younger more improved players)
#5 Tim Duncan - Steve Nash( my idol, though still trailing behind trying to show some life hopefully gets traded or something)
#6 Steve Nash - Tim Duncan( although i too hate the spurs, they wouldnt have those championships without him)
#7 Dwayne Wade - KG(Underrated and can finish when you need him to)
#8 Dirk Nowitzki - Dirk Nowitzki
#9 Kevin Garnett - Dwayne Wade( a very good player although just stunk this season due to injuries)
#10 Shaquille O’Neal - Deron Williams( no one ever talks about him though he has made as much of an improvement as Chris Paul, also i would never put Shaq here, he just made the suns worst)
You are right about kobe he is the bestand he has been the best for a wile. You are also right steve nash should not have goten the Mvp that year with kobe geting 81 points. But you suck on marth 26th is right chris paul should be in the top three.
