Stephen Jackson Needs To Shut Up!!!

I was just reading this article from the OCRegister this morning and thought you guys might find this interesting. This little pre-season feud between Stephen Jackson and Kobe Bryant is actually a little more heated than I anticipated. Actually, it seems that Stephen Jackson is taking it a little too far. While Kobe is doing the right thing and just getting ready for a championship. Here were Jackson’s comments recently:

“I’m going to be me, but I guarantee I won’t feed into the nonsense,” Jackson said. “If it came down to a real fight, I know what would happen. I’m just going to leave that alone, go out and play basketball and try to help my team win.”

Hmm. Interesting. He goes onto say this…

“I love competing against and guarding the best guy,” Jackson said. “I just don’t like being treated like I’m less. If I play against a guy, we both play the same, physical game. We are treated the same, and (if) he outplays me, I’ll give him his props.

“But if the game is being called one-sided and I’m not being treated fairly, I’m going to be upset.”

I think Stephen Jackson is making a fool of himself and needs to shut his mouth. I’m tired of all these NBA players expecting to get the same respect as the great players just because they feel they are great too. The guy is self imploding. And for some reason he continues to use Kobe Bryant’s name as an excuse. Even back a couple weeks ago when he demanded a trade and was fined by his team. He cited Kobe’s trade demand from a couple seasons ago.

The guy is out of line. He has had a history of problems in the league. He’s expecting to get some level of treatment from his peers in the league that he flat out just has not earned yet. What do you guys think about this?

  1. admin.. horrible horrible blog post. and to clairfy i dont even like stephen jackson but your post is retarded.

You left out Kobes comment of “calm down young fella” which is the reason Jackson stated “I just don’t like being treated like I’m less. If I play against a guy, we both play the same, physical game. We are treated the same, and (if) he outplays me, I’ll give him his props.”

Way to deliberately misinform readers and then trying to tell people he made these comments because he wants the same respect as the great players. He doesnt want that. He’s talking about mutual respect.

Learn how to [expletive] read an article, do research, and generally not write like a ten year old blogger before you make another post.

  2. @mac I must say I respect your boldness. But taking personal shots at a blogger is a little below the belt. Just because you can hide behind a keyboard and an anonymous name doesn’t mean it won’t catch up to you someday.

And don’t worry, I’m not taking your criticism too seriously. Do you blog? Do you write? Or are you just one of these wannabees who criticizes everyone else and can’t cut it on his own. I find it very difficult to believe you are not a “sjax” fan.
