TLN’s Post-Game Report: Lakers vs. Celtics

First, I’d like to start off by wishing everyone a Happy Holidays from the TLN staff. Second, I want to thank Pau for the best X-Mas ever!
The Lakers snapped the Celtics 19 game winning streak as they dominated the final minutes on their way to a 92-83 win at Staples. Fans who spent anywhere from $175 to $5,000 for their tickets got their money’s worth today!
The Lakers and Celtics each shot 47% from the field, but the difference was the assist to turnover ratios. The Lakers were 27 to 11, while the Celtics were only 22 to 17.
This was a big win for this slumping Lakers team. The great part about this win was that the Lakers didn’t even have their ‘A’ game tonight and still beat the best in the east.
Now, the bests of the night…
Top 3 Laker Performers -
1) Pau was awful for about 30 minutes tonight. His last 5 minutes were golden as he finishes with 20 points, 5 assists, and 3 blocks. KAPAU!
2) Kobe did what we needed: 27 points on 13-23 shooting, 9 boards, and 5 assists.
3) Lamar was huge off the bench with two BIG threes in the second-half. He finishedwith 10 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks in only 24 minutes.
Lakers Smush of the Day (Note: STD denotes the Laker that played the poorest): Sasha was bricking left and right. 3-9 shooting off the bench.
Play of the Game: Their wasn’t too much to remember before Snoop’s Lakers rap, but the block by Pau leading to Ariza’s dunk easily makes the play of the game.
What to Look for Next Game: Should be an easy win Sunday night at Staples vs. the Warriors.
Ticket Info: While the Warriors suck, their are no cheap tickets for this one — prices are starting at $75 per ticket. E-Mail me at Steve@AveryTickets.com or call 213-221-7681 and mention TLN.
Go Lakers!
