Tonight it was all about the ‘D’ for Kobe Bryant as the Lakers beat the Pistons 103-91. Kobe Bryant gave a little bit of everything with 19 Points and 7 assists along with a terrific defensive job on Rip Hamilton. The Lakers showed an impressive performance especially with their bench in the 4th Quarter. Then Kobe came back in the game for Luke Walton with about 9 minutes to go in the 4th and helped seal the deal.
I don’t think Rip had any doubt tonight who the best player on the planet is. Either did the rest of the earth while Kobe went out and methodically beat a very good Detroit Piston team. The picture above took place in the 4th quarter when during a key offensive possession for the Pistons. Kobe was swarming Rip Hamilton and at mid court until he was able to strip the ball loose from Rip. Then in a desperate attempt dived after the ball on the ground and forced a jump ball. A type of “blue-collar” type effort all you haters out there should appreciate given that Lebron, Dwade or any other so called superstar ain’t doing it. Great effort tonight Kobe! MVP!!!!
